Favorite Educational Website Links: Dear Parents, Your child’s communication folder is one of the most direct communications that you and I have regarding your child’s daily behavior, homework, and other communication. I expect students to read at least 15 minutes each night Monday through Thursday and record their response on the Reading Response sheet provided in their communication folder weekly. I would like to check this daily so please assist your student in keeping this sheet safely in their folder to bring to school each day. Math homework will be sent home Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday to be completed that night. Homework is due following the day it was assigned, unless otherwise stated. I will record brief notes about their behavior for the day. I ask that you look over and sign this journal daily and feel free to communicate with me through this journal as I will check it on a daily basis. Your child is ultimately responsible for taking their homework journal home and returning it everyday. When the notebook is consistently returned and signed, students will be rewarded. Homework incentives will be used in a variety of ways. Homework is also a portion of their effort grade on report cards. Please encourage your child to be responsible with their homework journal; you may even want to consider your own reward system for their efforts. For occasions when you send notes and/or money to school, please make sure that these important notes and money are sealed in an envelope and labeled. Labeling it with your child’s Name, Ms. Mosiman and A10 will assure that if it is lost, it may be returned.
