Health Tips

Wash your hands often to avoid getting sick

Reduce Stress: watch a funny TV show, take a long bath or shower, exercise or listen to music, Drive 5 mph slower than  you usually do.

Eat more fruits and vegetables. Start your day with breakfast.
Eat smaller portions, as smaller is better
Drink 6-8 glasses of water daily, carry a water bottle with you
Stop eating when you are full
Make mealtime fun for your family 

Healthy snacks: milk, graham crackers, apples, peanut butter, yogurt, banana, cheese, Cheerios. 

Go Foods are Heart Healthy: fruits, veggies, lean hamburger, whole grain cereal, skinless chicken

 High Fat/Sugar Foods: special treats only: cookies, French Fries, doughnuts, regular soda, pizza, fried chicken, full fat cheese

Fiber foods: berries, beans, brown rice, high fiber cereal

Exercise: 10 minute walk burns 50 calories!
Take the stairs rather than the elevator
Mow the lawn, rake leaves, swing your arms while walking,exercise with family or friends, try new sports and activities, bike or walk the dog.
